Santova is helping shippers of all sizes work towards
Carbon Neutral Supply Chains

Sustainability in Supply Chains

Santova is committed to a healthy and sustainable environment

Santova Logistics recognises the impact that international supply chains have on the environment and is committed to helping importers and exporters of all sizes make conscious decisions towards sustainable logistic and transport solutions, with little or no impact on their current supply chains.

Our focus is to give our customers a better understanding of the environmental impact of their supply chain. Whether you transport one container a month or 500 containers a month, we can work with you to help to reduce your carbon emissions wherever possible, and work towards having a carbon neutral supply chain with our offset program.

Santova partners with a certified carbon emissions calculation provider to accurately measure emissions. Once we have the emission data, on a shipment by shipment basis, we are able to collaborate with Carbon Footprint UK to offer offsetting solutions. Through their Carbon Offset Program, we support internationally recognised climate protection projects that adhere to Gold Standard Verified Emission Reductions (VERs), funding initiatives to effectively reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainability.

Understanding Carbon Emission Calculations

Our multi-modal emissions calculator, developed by external partners, complies with ISO14083, the GLEC Framework and the GHG Protocol

Carbon emission calculations in supply chains assess the greenhouse gas emissions across all stages of a product’s lifecycle, from raw material extraction to delivery and disposal. These calculations help identify emission hotspots, optimize processes, and support sustainability goals.

In carbon emission calculators, the terms Tank-to-Wheel (TTW) and Well-to-Wheel (WTW) represent two different scopes for measuring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Our reporting aligns with the Tank-to-Wheel (TTW), focusing on emissions generated during the actual transport of goods – from origin to destination, across all modes of transport.
